How do I get a new ID?
If your ID was issued after February 2014 or does not have the QR Code printed on it, you will need to get a new one.

- CPF;
- Citizen Card or PIS Pasep number (not mandatory);
- Police report for cases of robbery or theft.
Additionally, it is important to inform that some issuance fees are charged.
In cases of robbery or theft, when the Police Report is presented, there is no need to pay anything.
However, if it is a duplicate – as is the case with expired or damaged documents – the citizen has to pay a fee of R$20.00 to R$29.00, depending on the city.
In fact, by obtaining the document at Poupatempo, the cost is much more affordable, just R$$12.33, and the citizen also receives the photo ID at home by mail.
Now, if you fall into the age range of 65 and older (men) and 60 and older (women), the issuance fee is free, regardless of the location selected. Okay?
